The Animal Health Center – Compassionate Veterinary Care
At the Animal Health Center, we understand that your pet is your best friend, your lifelong companion, even your hunting partner. He or she deserves only the finest veterinary care available and AHC is committed to treating your pet with care, compassion, and the latest veterinary medical techniques.
Located in Stewartsville, NJ, the Animal Health Center is a full-service veterinary hospital providing care for dogs, cats, and other companion pets. We are not seeing farm animals or birds as clients at this time. Your pet receives complete veterinary wellness care, vaccinations, surgical care, and complete dental care at AHC. We utilize diagnostic equipment, including digital x-rays, along with in-house blood work to provide your pet with the best care.
Dr. Robert Blease opened the Animal Health Center in 1967. The hospital was originally in downtown Stewartsville, and moved to our current location in 1986. We offer your pet personal, individualized care. We are committed to enhancing the quality of care for pets and their owners in Warren County and the surrounding areas.
Whether your pet is in for a routine exam or a major surgical procedure, he or she is treated with the utmost care. Your pet’s comfort, safety and well-being are our highest priority. Dr. Blease, Dr. Amento, and the Animal Health Center staff have years of experience caring for pets. We know your pet is a special member of your family and we look forward to working with you to keep your pet healthy and happy, now and for years to come.
Community Outreach
The Animal Health Center provides the veterinary care for the pets who are at Common Sense For Animals, Warren County’s only no-kill animal shelter. Care is also provided at either reduced or no cost for pets who have been adopted at CSA within 30 days of the date of adoption. The Animal Health Center also provides a free first return visit for each puppy (under 6 months of age) adopted at CSA – within 30 days of adoption – providing testing for intestinal parasites and Giardia, the next distemper vaccine, and a worming at no charge to the new owner. Puppies/dogs adopted at CSA who were not altered at the time of adoption have a $50 spay/neuter credit – if that pet is altered at AHC we match the deposit, meaning that $100 total is deducted from the bill automatically. Kittens/cats adopted at CSA who were not altered at the time of adoption have a $40 spay/neuter credit – if that pet is altered at AHC we match the deposit, meaning that $80 total is deducted from the bill automatically.
